Big Brother has hosted two complete All-Stars seasons and other seasons where only a few returning houseguests came back.

The last All-Stars season was Season 22, which aired in 2020.

The season was postponed due to COVID-19.

Season 16 runner-up, Cody Calafiore, took home the win in the last All-Stars season.

Below is a list of some of the countries that have their own version of Big Brother:

Big Brother houseguests do indeed get paid for appearing on the show.

However, the amount they earn at the end of the show depends on how long they stay in the game.

Houseguests get paid $1k each week they stay in the house, according to Reel Rundown – so the longer they survive, the more each contestant gets paid.

In the Big Brother house, there are over 80 HD cameras and 100 microphones, which record contestants’ every move during all hours of the day.

Contestants do not have contact with the outside world, according to CBS.

Big Brother winner Taylor Hale went on The Talk and discussed her experience in the house with the talk show’s hosts.

When discussing the harassment she experienced while on the show, Taylor revealed that she had even thought about throwing a competition so that she could be evicted because that’s how miserable she was.

“It came down to me realizing that I joined the game for a larger purpose,” Taylor said.

“I had seen black women come into this game and be bullied and harassed and I wanted to be the person to carry that weight so that black women wouldn’t have to do that ever again in this game.”

Although the producers can’t give away too much, they did share with Variety that a lot of research goes into casting, as they dig into “each player’s background” and “look for red flags.”

“It’s a social experiment using a group of people with different life experiences. They all bring that in and learn from each other. They learn, they change, they grow. Hopefully, by watching that, we’re also making a positive impact on the outside world,” Allison told the outlet.

CBS recently made sure that at least 50 percent of the Big Brother cast is BIPOC, which was not represented in earlier seasons.

Host Julie Chen Moonves and executive producer, Allison Grodner talked to Variety about the upcoming season, casting, and the future of the live feeds.

“It takes courage to put yourself out there 24/7. I don’t know if the audience always appreciates that,” Allison said of the live feeds and always being on camera while in the house.

“That’s what makes it challenging sometimes — because you’re seeing real human beings, some with more flaws than others.”

Those players are often called out online by viewers and fans, causing the show to do something about it.

Jag Bains is the first Sikh houseguest to join Big Brother.

This isn’t something he takes lightly, telling Parade that he’s proud to represent his community.

“Representing my Sikh community is so important to me,” he said. “I wear a turban. This is how I represent myself every day. So to come to the show, be who I am, represent not only myself, but my family, my people, my community, it means the world to me.”

He echoed the sentiment on Instagram, writing: “As the first-ever Sikh on the show, I feel truly honored, humbled, and blessed. I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity to represent my community and share my story with the world.”

In a surprising turn of events, Cirie Fields – who rose to fame on Survivor: Panama in 2006 – was added to the list of houseguests.

Cirie is a nurse and television personality who was born on July 18, 1970, in Jersey City, New Jersey.

She was added to the cast list during the season premiere episode.

This Portland native is expected to bring the drama, according to Big Brother fans.

The 24-year-old bartender is currently living in Nashville, Tennessee, and works at Whiskey Row.

Reilly’s time on the show was short as she was the second houseguest evicted from the Big Brother house.

The latest Big Brother season is also featuring a doctor.

Hisam Goueli, from Minnesota, is a geriatric physician and is familiar with competition.

The 45-year-old ran for Seattle City Council in 2017 but was unfortunately unsuccessful.

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin and works in Washington.

Izzy may add some musical flair to the Los Angeles mansion as she is a professional flutist.

The 32-year-old, from New York City, certainly knows how to perform in front of an audience – which may help her during the competition.

Not much else is known about Izzy but fans can look forward to discovering more soon.

Jag is a truck company owner from Omak, Washington.

His sharp business head may prove useful during confrontations and negotiations in the Big Brother house.

The 25-year-old has made a name for himself in the trucking industry – let’s see if he can add reality show winner to his accomplishments next.

Fans will also be watching Jared Fields, an Exterminator from Norwalk, Connecticut.

Jared is actually the son of four-time Survivor player Cirie Fields.

It will be interesting to see if the 25-year-old’s mom has passed down any survival tips – the mansion may be harder than the wild.

Jared himself was due to appear on Survivor: David vs. Goliath, but changed his mind.

Kirsten Elwin turned heads before even stepping into the Big Brother house as a possible fan-favorite.

The 25-year-old Molecular Biologist was sent home during this season’s first live eviction.

Another buff contestant, Matt Klotz, will add a drop of athleticism to the competition.

The Deaflympics gold medallist is also the first hearing-impaired contestant to feature on Big Brother USA.

He competed as an LSU swimmer and holds five Deaf World Records.

The 27-year-old also proudly won gold 10 times and is already training for the 2024 Olympics.

Originally from Cameron Park, California, Matt is now living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Mecole may become a key player and is already another fan favorite.

Big Brother viewers think she will be able to work her way to the top due to her career as a Political Consultant.

The 30-year-old stunner is from St Louis, Missouri, but currently working in Washington D.C.

She studied Education policy at the American University School of Education and also enrolled in Print journalism at Texas Southern University.

The 30-year-old has been described by some fans as “a nerd in the body of a Ken doll.”

Luke works as an artist and only appears to showcase his work through social media.

But, he seems to keep everything else private, with no personal socials.

He is currently living in Coral Springs, Florida but grew up in Weston, Florida.

Fans believed he would make a strong impact in the mansion and thought he could be the “smartest player.”

However, Luke was fired from the cast after using a racial slur during the 24/7 live feeds.

Big Brother has also welcomed Red Utley to the house this year.

The 37-year-old works in sales and fans recon he could charm his way to success in the mansion.

He is from Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and not much else has been discovered about him so far.

For the first time on US Big Brother, the houseguests have welcomed a woman over 60.

Felicia, 63, is a proud member of the season 25 cast.

Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, the retired Real Estate Agent claimed to go in with a game plan which we see unfold on our screens soon.

Bowie Jane is a well-known DJ and performer from Melbourne, Australia.

The 45-year-old has built a successful, globally recognized career before trying her luck at a stint on the CBS show.

Her music falls under the high-energy house and techno category, and her followers can’t wait to see what she will bring to the Big Brother house.

She may be able to offer some words of wisdom to other contestants, having performed at the F1 Grand Prix, Dodgers Stadium, the Australian Open, and House of Blues Vegas among many others.

Cory is the youngest contestant at just 21 years old.

The college student from Weston, Florida is not new to the world of reality TV.

His brother Zach Wurtenberger actually featured in Survivor 42 – although he was the first to be voted out.

The first bombshell to enter the Big Brother house is America Lopez.

Fans will be looking forward to watching the stunning 27-year-old, who was born and raised in Edinburg, Texas.

America has since moved to Brooklyn, New York, and was working as a Medical Receptionist before applying for the reality TV show.

Big Brother fans will also watch Cameron Harding on their screens this year.

The 34-year-old stay-at-home dad is taking a break from parenting duties in Georgia and throwing himself into life at the LA mansion.

Not much else is known about Cameron, but viewers are sure to discover more soon.

A younger contestant, Blue Kim, is 25 years old and traveled from her New York home to be part of season 25.

Born and raised in Riverside, California, Blue has a large following on social media.

The Brand strategist proudly showed off her latest achievement in a recent Instagram post, revealing she is a First-Generation Korean American to graduate with a B.A. in Strategic and Corporate Communication with a minor in Entrepreneurship.

Blue is passionate about sharing her culture across different platforms and she has already become a fan favorite to win.
