Worker fatally injured in accident at N.J. food processing plant, police say

An employee at a food processing plant in Woodbridge died Friday afternoon after an apparent accident while she was working on a piece of equipment, township police confirmed.

The woman was fatally injured at the United Premium Foods plant on Amboy Avenue.

Her name and details of the circumstances leading to her death were not been released. An investigation will be conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the federal agency that regulates workplace safety, officials said.
